Val Spies
I am a Yoga Alliance Certified E-RYT 500 hr.,KRYT yoga instructor (a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher) and have been practicing yoga for 10+ years. I completed my 500 hour certification through the Kripalu School of Yoga and continuously study with Karin Stephan. I was originally drawn to yoga through an inner yearning to find peace and comfort in my body and spirit. Over the years, yoga became a survival tool for me as I worked in corporate America and found less and less time for inner peace. Now that I have left the corporate world and opened the Lotus Room and Lotus Pond, my mission is to share the benefits of the yoga lifestyle which bring not only stillness and happiness into your life, but also a total rejuvination of the body. Yoga has truly restored my physique to its former health and strength of 20 years ago. I love teaching and I love sharing this wonderful practice with our students.

Jill Douglas
I am a 500 hour Yoga alliance certified teacher, E-RYT. I also am licensed massage therapist, as well as a certified Pranassage practitioner. I have done the majority of my Yoga training in Costa Rica at the Nosara Yoga Institute. There I also studied Pranassage which is a one on one Yoga experience .I move the clients’ body through a series of Yoga postures while the clients rest in deep relaxation experiencing every move from the inside out. I graduated from Erwin Technical Center with a diploma in massage therapy, received a Florida state license, and a national certification. I have also studied pre-natal Yoga, and kid’s yoga. I actually began my teaching career as a 4th grade classroom teacher. I am also one of the teachers for the Lotus Room Teacher Training Program, which has been an incredible joy. I believe that Yoga is so much more than just the physical practice and I enjoy weaving philosophy into my classes, and also exploring how Yoga can move off the mat and into every aspect of life. I teach a flowing class that uses the breath to link one posture to the next. My goal as an instructor and a therapist is to create space and time to go inside and connect with our own divine nature in a peaceful and nurturing environment. Yoga, massage, and Pranassage are just a few of the tools that can be utilized to unlock the true healing capabilities of the human body, mind, and soul.

Chay Prieto, R.Y.T.
I am Yoga Alliance certified (KRYT & RYT 200hr), a member of KYTA (Kripalu Yoga Teacher's Assoc.) and hold a certification to teach Kid's Yoga from Next Generation Yoga and Jodi Komitor (author of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Yoga for Kids"). I have been practicing yoga for over 9 years, yet feel I have been playing with asanas (postures) since I was a child and before I knew they even had names. My first classroom experience was in the syle of Jiyamukti yoga. It was spiritual and emotional and a sure introduction into what would then become my way of life. My studies have included Hindu philosophy as well as Ashtanga, Iyengar, Bikram, Anusara, Power, Yin and Kripalu yoga. I have worked alongside guru Steve Ross, creator of Oxygen channel's INHALE yoga class. I was also introduced into meditation by Thom Knoles, world's foremost instructor of Vedic Meditation outside of India, and have recently recieved my 2nd Reiki Attunement from Rev. Batt, Karuna Reiki Master Teacher from the USUI line and the Intl. Center for Reiki Training. My intentions as a teacher are to be compassionate, empowering and inspiring; encouraging students to be more conscious and present in the world. Om Shantih

My favorite styles of Yoga include Hatha and Flow and I like to focus on breathing, alignment and Kria in my classes. I believe that Yoga is an inner awareness of breath and being. I feel that Yoga is the essence of being human. It is a balance and connection of consciousness and the subconscious. Yoga has improved every physical activity I do, from biking and swimming, to modern dance. Yoga has also been my physical therapy for serious spinal and muscular injuries. It is my goal to help others the way Yoga has helped me.

Evelyn Greenfield
I was introduced to yoga in 1997 when I was contracted through Oxford Health Plans to set up the first Alternative medicine health network in Florida. I was invited to try a yoga class, and I loved it! I gave up the corporate world. I have been taking yoga classes now for 9 years and have 1000 plus hours of teaching experience. I am registered as a Yoga Alliance E-RYT and participate in the Lotus Room Teacher Training Certification Program. I have studied and continue to attend workshops with various world premier yoga instructors, such as Eric Schiffman, Monica Voss, Lilias Folan, Tias Little, Shiva Rea, John Friend, Bob Smith, Karin Stephan and many more. Therefore, my classes are infused with various styles of yoga traditions. I teach a creative flow of safe aligned asana in my classes, being especially mindful of the unique skeletal and muscular difference with each student, never forcing the pose. The tone of my class is lighthearted and non-competitive; appropriate for men and women who are joyful, active and open to deepening their practice.

Sahara Rodrigiuez
I have been practicing meditation in some form for 10 years now and teaching for 8 years. I have been fortunate to study and train with spiritual teachers from around the world and intend to bring together these many traditions in the spirit of Oneness. I am a certified Lightwork Practitioner, Minister and author. It brings me great joy to create a safe, nurturing atmosphere where people can relax, let go of stress and ease deeply into their inner self where all healing and inspiration occur. I also love working with kids and young adults with the hope that they may learn vital tools such as meditation and yoga, better guiding them on their journey through this often stressful world.
