Teacher Training Certification Program
A training program geared toward
developing your innate gifts and creativity.
Professional Teacher Training directed by:
Master Teacher Karin Stephan co-founder of the original Iyengar Studio in Boston. Karin is one of the leading yoga teachers in the U.S. for over 30 years.
Val Spies owner of The Lotus Room and creator of The Lotus Room Teacher Training. Val received her 500 certification through Kripalu Center.
This unique hatha yoga certification provides you with a balanced training that weaves together the discipline of Iyengar alignment and the heart of Kripalu Yoga. Learn technical skills and how to access “the teacher within” in a friendly, disciplined environment.
Program includes:
200 hours of certified training fulfilling the Yoga Alliance requirements in the areas of: Techniques, Teaching Methodology, Anatomy & Physiology, Practicum, Yoga Philosophy/Lifestyle & Ethics with Meditation & Yoga Philosophy presented by Steve Shealy, PhD.
2008 Schedule:
Two Programs will be offered in 2008
Program I includes 2 Week Long Immersions & 5 Weekend Sessions (completion in 9 months)
Program II includes 6 Weekend Sessions and Weekly 2 hr. Wednesday night sessions. (completion in 11 months)

Session 3, May 16-19, Pranayama with Larissa Carlson
One Week Immersion, June 7-14, at a Florida Beach Location
Session 4, August 8-10,Creating a Class
One Week Immersion, September 12-20, at the Toccoa River Cabins
Session 5, October 24-27, Karin Stephan Workshop and graduation
